Founded in 1940, Marikar Motors Limited was first of the many Automobile cost Businesses of Marikar Group. Over the years, we have taken up dealership of many reputed vehicle manufacturers including Eicher, Honda motorcycle and scooters. We are well poised to meet the dynamics of the Automotive Industry and its competitive market, focusing on prompt service and total customer satisfaction.

Marikar is synonymous with anything on wheels in Kerala. The company was one of the first few to introduce the state to a world of cars, trucks, bikes & scooters. The seeds of automobile retailing were sown quite early in the history of the group. The Marikar Group of companies made humble beginnings in 1926 when its founder Mr. H.O.L Marikar started a departmental store in the hill station of Munnar to cater to the needs of the planters and others on the tea estates. The deparment store was unique as it traded in automobile spares & accessories too.

By 1934, Marikar &Co. Ltd dealt in Ford cars and International trucks. The first fully fledged automobile retail division started in 1940 under the name Marikar Motors with the Head Office at Thiruvananthapuram. Since then, the Marikar Group has grown by leaps and bounds. Today, it has a showroom in almost every other major city in Kerala and deals in all kinds of automobiles.

The Founder H.O.L Marikar was man of values and integrity. He believed that success would follow if the work at hand was done with integrity, the service delivered with quality and in time. His drive for excellence percolated down to all the divisions of Marikar. Today the group has varied business interests with major focus on automotives with dealerships of Porsche, Skoda,  and Royal Enfield and Honda two wheelers. Other interests include dealership of office automation, home appliances and textiles.

Spread across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the Group today has nineteen sales points and thirty service points, driven by the 525 strong Marikar family. The Group has always invested heavily in sustaining a very stable and healthy employee-employer relationship – in terms of benefits and incentives as well as regular training and updation of skills.

As part of its recent diversification programme, the Group has entered into the marketing of Travel and Tourism Products and Office Automation & Communication Systems.
